Terms and conditions

These terms apply to using Aperture Art Studio, an Australian service for AI-generated portrait previews and digital downloads. By choosing “Upload now”, you agree to these terms and acknowledge our privacy policy.
What you receive
Your selected photos are artistic interpretations generated from your upload and chosen look. They are not photographs taken in a physical studio. AI can change facial features, proportions, clothing, hair, skin, lighting, backgrounds and other details. Results vary between generations. Review the available preview before deciding to purchase.
Your upload and permissions
You must have the right to upload and process each image, including permission from people pictured. For children, you confirm you are the parent or legal guardian or have appropriate permission. Do not upload unlawful material or use the service to impersonate, exploit or harm another person.
Digital delivery and payment
Downloads are digital files, not physical prints or framed products. Save your files to your own device; session files are temporary and may not be available later. One preview batch is available free per photo session, with one image for each pose selected before generation. Purchasing that preview unlocks its upscaling and download. Checkout shows the total price and currency for your selected images before you confirm payment. Payments are handled by Stripe.
Free Trial and credit packs
The free trial allocates 300 credits once per eligible verified account, without a card or Stripe checkout. Each successfully generated photo uses 100 credits, with a maximum of three trial uploads/generations. Trial includes personalisation and customisation, with Standard-resolution downloads and no 4K, and remain available for 24 hours from creation. Browsing remains available after credits are exhausted. A One-Time purchase costs US$11.50 and adds 2,000 purchased credits for up to 20 Standard photos, personalisation and 30-day gallery retention. Repeat purchases accumulate unused purchased credits. A paid purchase replaces unused trial credits.
Optional monthly subscriptions
New Pro Monthly subscriptions cost US$7.50/month and renew automatically at the price confirmed in Stripe Checkout until cancelled through Stripe Customer Portal, available from your account. Existing subscribers retain their agreed billing price. Each monthly allocation provides 2,000 credits for up to 20 Standard photos, with Standard and 4K downloads, personalisation and 30-day gallery retention. Preparing 4K or downloading the same image does not deduct additional credits. Every new variation is a new generation. Monthly credits reset on the actual billing cycle and do not roll over or have a cash value. Purchased credit packs remain separate and are preserved on renewal or cancellation. Cancellation stops future renewals; paid monthly access continues until period end unless payment is reversed or access expires. Each image shows its expiry deadline. Download images to keep them. Consumer rights and remedies still apply.
Use of your images
You retain any existing rights in the photos you upload. You permit us and our processing providers to use them to create and deliver your selected portraits. You may download, print and share your delivered portraits subject to others’ rights and applicable law. We do not guarantee that AI output attracts copyright protection or is unique.
Subscription cancellation and refunds
Unused subscription time and unused credits are non-refundable. We do not offer change-of-mind refunds for generated photos that are of satisfactory quality. We consider image-quality refund requests where a generated photo has visibly awkward, distorted, or unnatural features, such as facial or anatomical errors. Requests are reviewed individually; a refund is not automatic. These limits do not affect remedies required by Australian Consumer Law or other applicable consumer law, including for faulty, undelivered, or misdescribed images.

See our refund and cancellation policy. Disclosed AI variations do not remove rights you have when a product or service fails to meet applicable consumer guarantees.
Consumer rights and applicable law
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under Australian Consumer Law. Australian law applies subject to mandatory protections that may apply where you live. Worldwide access does not waive those protections.
Feedback and updates
Use our anonymous feedback form to tell us about your experience. Feedback does not submit or resolve an individual payment claim. Changes to these terms apply to future use and do not retrospectively remove existing purchase rights.
